Infrastructure
The College possesses most encouraging and facilitating infrastructure. The newly constructed multistoried and elegant building has mind satisfying space with adequate fresh air and bright sunlight throughout the day. The techno friendly spacious classrooms are facilitated with smartboard and projector.
Spacious Library
Of about 3000 sq.ft. area accommodates huge reading hall and stacking area for thousands of books including textbooks, reference books, journals and magazines and Newspapers too. The new addition to these books and journals constantly attract the serious and sincere students to add on to their knowledge and keep them abreast with latest developments in the academic and global world. Ten dedicated computers with internet connection are provided to the students and faculty members for using the e-resources such as e-journals, online digital library etc. The Institute has memberships with National Digital Library and British Library, Gokhale Institute of politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune
Well-equipped Laboratories
are the assets available with “Arts, Commerce and Science Junior College” to sharpen the practical skills of both students and the staff.
Our Computer Laboratory is having 25 machines with Intel P-IV and P-III hardware facilities. Well-equipped laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Geography ensure experiential learning. Our lab serves as an essential platform that encourages our students to apply the theory that they learn in the classroom, enhancing their learning abilities.
Electronics Laboratory is equipped fully to facilitate practical learning and experimentation, our electronics lab provides all the essential apparatus such as power supplies, CRO, function generator, dimmerstat and soldering guns. Safety and Efficiency are our major concerns and we have overload protection circulatory as a measure against short circuits and generator back up for unhindered learning.
Students Common Room
Ladies’ Common Room adds to the comforts and convenience of the female students. Boy’s common room provides facilities for relaxations, interaction and indoor games.
Canteen
with good food, snacks, and soft-drink items helps energizing students to remain focused in their academic, sports and extra-curricular activities. Drinking water through hygienic water filters and coolers is supplied 24 hours a day in the campus at various strategic locations. The building is well built with sanitation facilities on each floor. Open and clean, hygienic and safe premises of the College helps the minds of the students and staff fresh and free from all tensions.
Wi-Fi Zone
We always look out to help students in whichever way possible. And as most of the world gets digital, it is a necessity for students to have 24*7 access to the internet. We provide wi-fi to students for their studies and project work and have created wifi-zones in the college for accessing in the after-college hours.
Auditorium
The College has a huge auditorium with a capacity of more than 300 where many cultural events take place. The college provides platform for the students to participate in different intra-college as well as inter-college events. The artistic and creative teams are given exposure to their fields with an encouragement to pursue it if they feel that is where they want to make their career in.
Gym
The gym is fully equipped to give its students, all the facilities of a multi-faceted gym. Along with the ground available for the students, the gym area has been kept spacious to accommodate almost 30 people at a time. Consisting of different weight machines, cardio- machines, exercise cycles and free-weights, the gym membership is available to its students at very nominal costs.
Sports
Our Institute not only takes prides in providing the best education, but we also encourage the students to participate in many extra-curricular activities. The sports department of the college is available for the students to give them exposure to the sports/games which they want to participate.
Educational Loan
For those students, who have financial constraints but still have the zeal to study, the College provides them with whatever help is required for them to apply for Educational Loans.
Modalities and Obligations
Academic Work Culture
We believe in serious and sincere academic work culture. The Institution will provide instructions, practical, assignments, seminars and workshops at the College campus, as well as at any suitable venues in the city of Pune to facilitate teaching-learning process. The students however, need to devote maximum time (lecture hours and practical schedules) with definite desire and academic endeavor. The code of conduct spelt out in the College prospectus should be strictly adhered to. The Students will be evaluated internally and externally in their written, practical and oral examinations. Internal evaluation will be transparent and indicative of student’s actual worth. Students however, should apply their own yardstick consciously to gauge the improvements that they actually experience in terms of knowledge and different human, social and functional skills. The span of two years is quite short to achieve maximum expected success in theoretical as well as practical aspects of this course. Students are therefore, expected to adopt academic work culture consisting of hard, sincere and quality efforts. Every student should constantly review his / her improvements in knowledge, practical / functional abilities, skills and in terms of speed and quality in delivering work output, also in written and spoken English, mannerism and finally in etiquettes required at classroom, social spheres and workplaces.
In short, academic work culture at our Junior College helps enhance performance in the examinations and beyond that in several spheres related to work life as well as individual private and social life.
